Book Adaptation Tag

Image
This book tag was found over on  Bookslovingnut 's site and I can say I have found it a bit hard to choose only one. 1. What is the last book adaptation movie you saw? Okay, so the last book adaption I saw was "The Prestige" for the seventh time. It's a great movie and there is something new I notice each time.  2. What book movie are you most excited about? "Where'd You Go, Bernadette?" I loved the book and can't wait to see what gets put on the big screen. 3. Which upcoming book movie will you definitely NOT see? "The Girl In The Spider Web." I watched the "Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" and no! 4. Which book movie would you NEVER watch again? "City of Bones."  Look, I like the series as a t.v show. This movie felt like a hot mess and that ending confused me so much that I almost didn't read the series.  5. Is there a movie you saw that made you want to read the book if you hadn’t yet? "Vampire...

Top 4 Disney Cinderella Retelling

Image
Disney has a film series created by Leigh Dunlap known as "A Cinderella Story", Each film is, as you guessed, a modern retelling of the Cinderella fairytale. The Cinderella in each movie is a high school senior and the servant of the evil stepmother.  Each story is, as of this moment, not connected as the other. The Cinderellas deals with different struggles both in a personal way as well as social. Honestly, I don't think there is a role she has played...

Book Theme Song -Linkin Park Edition

Image
I have been a Linkin Park fan since middle school. Every song has its own personal connection and even the newer material still resonates within me. With that said, it has been a while since the passing of Chester Bennington and I dedicate this book tag to his work and band. 1. Castle of Glass- Mockingjay by Susan Collins Much of this book is Katniss being told she is this icon, the face of the rebellion. She is supposed to be this strong, fearless person for the rebels to look up to. Yet, Katniss does not feel strong. She feels broken and lost. She isn't ready to face the new world she unintentionally helped create. Likewise, this song can embody Peeta's progression in the story. 2. Bleed It Out- The Chocolate War by Robert Cormier I read this book when I was in middle school and consequently, I had this song playing in the background. The Chocolate War is set in a Catholic school, where the school's secret society uses intimidation to enforce the cultural norms o...
