Book Adaptation Tag
This book tag was found over on Bookslovingnut's site and I can say I have found it a bit hard to choose only one.
1. What is the last book adaptation movie you saw?
2. What book movie are you most excited about?
"Where'd You Go, Bernadette?" I loved the book and can't wait to see what gets put on the big screen.
"The Girl In The Spider Web." I watched the "Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" and no!
"City of Bones." Look, I like the series as a t.v show. This movie felt like a hot mess and that ending confused me so much that I almost didn't read the series.
"Vampire Academy" solely because the storyline seemed interesting enough to warrant a read. Also, Rose Hathaway seemed like my type of female lead character.
6. Conversely, is there a movie that made you never want to read the book?
"Goodfellas". I may love the mafia movie genre but this storyline is not something that holds my attention right now.

7. Name an adaptation that has almost nothing to do with the book it’s supposedly based on.

Blood and Chocolate. Now, this is not saying that the film didn't leave me with a good feeling about how it ended. But, boy did this movie have nothing to do with its book origins. Other than keeping some of the names and the mythical creature aspect, this movie and book couldn't be any different.

8. Have you ever left the theater during a movie adaptation because it was so bad?
Nope, if the movie is a waste of an adaption, then I want to know how much of a waste so I can gripe about it!

9. Do you prefer to watch the movie first or read the book first?
Read the book first if I can. Though, there are times I would watch the movie first because I didn't know there was a book to read.

10. How do you feel about movie adaptations that age characters up? (ex. characters that are in middle-school, but in the movies they’re all 18)
Depends on the movie, sometimes it works. If the characters are all in their early teens and jet-setting all over the place, then please age them up! However, if the kid is supposed to be 17 and you have this 26-year-old with a definite 5 o'clock shadow, no!

11. Do you get angry when the actors don’t look like you thought the characters looked?
Not really. Unless there is something that defines the character and is vital to the story,

"The Godfather"

13. Name a book that you would love to see as a movie.
Well, the Heist Society would be interesting to see on the big screen. It would be like watching "The Thomas Crown Affair" or the "Ocean's" trilogy.
